Negotiations continued Sunday evening between Philadelphia transit officials and union leaders trying to avert a strike that could affect 430,000 commuters. Union spokesman Bruce Bodner said talks would continue "round the clock" and that a strike Monday morning is becoming "unlikely."
Negotiators for the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation System (SEPTA) and the Transit Workers Union have agreed to continue their talks without a deadline, despite the fact that the union's contract expired at midnight Saturday.
