Bert and Ernie, the tangerine-and-yellow-skinned puppets who are addicted to their ABC's, were involved in a real Muppet caper recently. They were returned Thursday after being abducted in eastern Germany.
The Muppet buddies who live on Sesame Street were returned by the Weimar police after they were snatched from an exhibit case at the Efurt Garden Show January 29.
Puppet-nabberers knocked through a wall at the exhibit hall, where the duo was part of a tour of 36 original .
